Events in Cattolica

When you book a holiday in Cattolica, you can't not be informed about the huge variety of events organised from the Town.

From religious festivals to sports events, to art exhibitions, concerts and food festivals in Cattolica and surroundings, our little town in the heart of Romagna has many surprises for everyone in store.

One of the most highly suggestive festival is the celebration of the “Stella Maris” Madonna, when fishermen and lady clam-pickers parade art sea in a unique setting.

However, the most representative event of Cattolica is the flower exhibition called “Cattolica in Fiore”, a market-show of flowers and plants, dating back to the 1950s and which is held from 29 April to 2 May.

The event, which occupies a 4,000 m2 display area, welcomes plant and flower nurseries from every part of Italy and abroad.

More recently, Cattolica and the Romagna Coast have became famous for the “Notte Rosa” (the pink night), also known as the Summer New Year’s Eve Party.

The whole Romagna coastline comes alive and, from Cattolica to Bellaria Igea Marina, you can find music, shops open and parties going on on every beach of the Riviera.

If you like fine food & wine, you are welcome to the ”Fiera degli Antichi Sapori di Terra e di Mare” (Festival of Ancient Flavours of Earth and Sea), where dishes of the local cuisine, DOP products, tasting sessions, games and shows will delight you with moments of true taste.
