Misano World Circuit: welcome to Santa Monica World Circuit
Misano world circuit, known as “Autodromo di Santa Monica” is located not far from our 3-star hotel in Cattolica; Actually we count every year lots of motorcyclists among our guests during Moto Gp, Superbike races and the meetings or free practice-sessions that are held in the circuit specially during the summer.
The Misano Circuit can accommodate up to 73,000 people and occupies an area of 600,000 m2 with a 4,226 m long track.
Santa Monica Racing Track of Misano plays host to many international events: from motorbike races such as the Superbike World Championship to the Moto GP World Championship round and car racing events (Italian Championship, FIA International races) and truck racing competitions (European Truck racing Championship).
The racing track also organises free practice sessions with bookings available in daytime as well as night-time since it is the only racing track to be lit by night.
Apart from the main track, there is also a test track where the following events are held: Driving courses, go-kart practice and Supermotard motorbike practice. “Off-road” racing is also catered for at the Misano racing track, in the permanent dirt track.
The Circuit of Misano is particularly famous for playing host to one of the most important rounds of the moto GP Championship, namely the “Gran Premio di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini”, which is held in September and sees great champions such as Valentino Rossi take part.
And if you have a passion for motoring, you can join one of the driving courses held on the track by the Siegfried Stohr driving school: Safe driving (1 day), sport driving (2 days), competition (2 days) and skid control (half a day).
